Quick Start - What do you need?
- Internet access - To get a good connection you need a ADSL or Cable connection with a speed of 128 kbps (kilo bits per second) or more. Keep in mind that Internet connections like ADSL or Cable provide a higher download speed than upload (from your PC to the Internet). ADSL nomally is available with a connection speed of 256/128 kbps (down/up) up to 8000/700 kbps depending on the privider and country.
High quality VoIP call is using 100 kbps (both directions), normal quality 30 kbps, GSM like quality 20 kbps. If broadband Internet is not available or when on the road, dialup modem access could be used combined if you setup your phone for high compression of the voice data.
